In addition to having written Your Pocket Divorce Guide, its companion The Basic Divorce Workbook and co-authoring The Divorce Recovery Journal, I present the Dealing with Divorce workshop series including Preparing for Divorce; The Five Stages of Divorce Grief; The Forgotten Ones: Helping Your Teen & Adult Children Deal with Your Divorce; and Rebuilding Your Self-Esteem.

My two new books, And Now We Dance: Journaling for the Woman Within and The Many Faces of Journaling will be released next spring (2001). The latter title is based on the journaling workshops I've presented for the past year. Both are upbeat, positive books with lots of great information and insights, and some very personal sharing.

I also give seminars on dealing with anger, journaling, and non-fiction writing. My divorce related articles appear in "Divorce Magazine," on DivorceTransitions.com, and on other online divorce sites. My passion is for writing, and I thoroughly enjoy my work; but I do like to get away from the computer and podium once in a while.

My favorite haunts are Starbuck's and the book store cafes. Good conversation is another of life's treats. Anne Morrow Lindbergh said "Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after." I'll second that. (Since I'm an avid collector of quotations, you'll often see them pop up in my writings.)

I enjoy live theater performances, especially those at St. Louis' Repertoire Theater. "Blithe Spirit," "Arcadia" and "Master Class" head my top ten list. And Kirkwood Theatre Guild's recent production of "The Man Who Came to Dinner" was great! I can listen to folk music all night, especially acoustic guitar, and I enjoy going to the movies. "Shakespeare in Love" and "An Ideal Husband" were great and "Antonia's Line" combined fine acting with great camera work.

I do a lot of reading -- Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is one I reread every 10 years or so -- I seems to get something different out of it each time. Csikszentmihalyi's Flow, The Tao of Pooh, Megatrends, Global Paradox, and all of SARK's upbeat books are favorites. The current stack on my footstool includes Women Who Run With the Wolves and Reflections on the Art of Living: a Joseph Campbell Companion...so many terrific books -- so little time!

Being out in nature always boosts my spirits and untangles the knots in my everyday life. You can clear away a lot of cob webs by floating leaf boats down a sweet lazy creek.

I also enjoy wine and wine tastings! Grapevine Wines here in Kirkwood hosts some great ones. Red wines are my preference, and as soon as there's time, I plan to embark on a lengthy study of Pinot Noirs. (I'm already rather fond of the Toad Hollow 1997 Pinot Noir.)

Then of course there's chocolate, but that's another story altogether!
