Introducing Mary Stuart, M.A.

Mary Stuart, M.A.

After much soul searching as a result of my divorce, I retired as a psychotherapist and turned to my life-long love of writing which resulted in The Divorce Recovery Journal co-authored with Linda C. Senn. In addition to writing, I'm also a trainer, giving presentations to corporations and the general public on such diverse topics as sexual harassment, divorce recovery, and cultivating creativity.

A new venture is to provide personal coaching for people who would like assistance in achieving personal goals and who seem to have difficulty with the mechanics of manifesting them. One important facet of this involves coaching people going through the divorce process. I look forward to continuing it in Phoenix. Personal coaching is done by phone and I take clients from all over the country.

On a personal note, I've recently moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Phoenix, Arizona where I'm working on the above projects as well as writing more books. Digging out from the move and dealing with building a house will take up much of my energy for several months and I find I have to remind myself to have some fun!

What makes me smile is hanging out in bookstores, reading, socializing with good friends, going to movies and paying attention to my dog. Reacquainting myself with Arizona (I was raised here) is also on my agenda, and that includes locating the live theaters, symphony and other art endeavors. I also have some ideas for art projects of my own...stay tuned!

I have another passion...the computer. Although I've been online two years and have had a "serious" computer only for that length of time, I must confess it took just two weeks for my addiction to take hold completely. My favorite toy is my laptop, and while I have no pretensions of being a true geek, I'm definitely a geek wannabe. Add to that a stirring to go back to school (Spanish? Another degree?), and I think you'll understand my love of learning. I enjoy getting email, and can be contacted at MaryStuart@DivorceTransitions.com
