Excerpts

Here are a few excerpts:

Good Luck Pieces

Adopt a good luck piece. It may be something you've had for years or a new addition to your life, like one of these:

  • a souvenir baseball,

  • a small jade Buddha,

  • an heirloom tea cup,

  • Loony Tunes mouse pad,

  • a small (stuffed) furry puppy dog,

  • a huge (stuffed) snuggly teddy bear,

  • any award or trophy you've ever won in your life,

  • a photo of your children romping through the autumn leaves,

  • anything that makes you smile,

  • anything that gives you comfort.

Do not pick any of these:

  • a pressed rose from your wedding bouquet,

  • one of your ex's perfumed, lacy hankies,

  • any of your ex's underwear sexy or not,

  • any souvenir from your honeymoon,

  • a dartboard with you-know-who's photo on it. (It's hard to move on as long as you're hanging on!)

Holidays

Host a Thanksgiving dinner for your unattached friends. Encourage them to bring their family members along. Do all the cooking yourself if you really want to, or make it a pot luck with everyone contributing to the feast. This group can easily become your extended family. It's so nice when that happens!

Sex

Keep your sense of humor about sex. Hearty laughter in the bedroom is a delight, as long as you laugh with and not at. And of course, never point and laugh.
